What is a Braai?

• Braai is a South African word derived from the Afrikaans language, meaning - barbecue
  

Whether you are on the high-veld in South Africa, or virtually anywhere in New Zealand, you will find that a Braai is so versatile.

You can cook a meal on the Braai and feed a few or feed a crowd. Maybe that would be a juicy steak, some lamb chops, venison, sausages, pizzas, a roast, maybe several roasts and of course traditional South African food. The  options are endless. 

And after you've had your meal, load the Braai up with firewood and use it as an open fire to keep your guests warm as the evening cools down.

Position your Braai either free-standing or built-in within your outdoor entertainment area, using your imagination and different building materials to compliment your particular tastes and decor.
